Sweden's Kalle Berglund, representing Arctic Approach Management, won the fast section of the men's 1,500 meters in 3:37.84 in his outdoor season opener at the USATF Distance Classic at Occidental College's Jack Kemp Stadium. It was the fastest 1,500 opener of Berglund's career and the fifth time he ran under 3:38, including his personal-best 3:36.51 in September in Croatia, helping him elevate to No. 15 in the world this season.
