Brooks Beasts first-year professional Josh Kerr placed second in his debut in the men's 5,000 meters in a personal-best 13:28.66 in his outdoor season opener at the USATF Distance Classic at Occidental College's Jack Kemp Stadium. Kerr elevated to the No. 2 performer from Great Britain this year and ascended among the top 35 performers in the world.
