New Balance athlete Brenda Martinez placed third in the fast section of the women's 800 meters in 2:02.03 at the USATF Distance Classic at Occidental College's Jack Kemp Stadium. Martinez, who won the 800 in 2014 and again last year, is the meet and stadium record holder at 1:58.78.
